Grant Thornton in the Cayman Islands host their second Annual Golf Days in aid of the Cayman Islands Humane Society

16 November 2018

On Thursday 15 November, Grant Thornton in the Cayman Islands hosted their second annual golf days in aid of the Cayman Islands Humane Society.

72 budding golfers from around the globe, came together at a sunny North Sound golf course for the event which raised nearly $5000 for the charity.

Greg O’Driscoll, Partner and Head of Funds for the professional services firm said ‘we were delighted with how yesterday’s event went. Perfect weather, and an amazing day bringing some of our closest clients, colleagues and friends together for a fun day out. A special congratulations to the Championships Golfers of the Year: James Bull, Ronan Guilfoyle, Matt Taber and Paul Kelly who played exceptionally well’.

O’Driscoll extended thanks to the sponsors of the event, ‘we simply couldn’t host such a fantastic day without the support of our sponsors. Special thanks to TRAC Automotive and Kirk Freeport for donating some world class hole-in-one prizes, as well as Caybrew and all the other local businesses that donated raffle prizes for the event. It enabled us to raise a huge amount of money for a very worthy cause and gave the participants a truly memorable experience’. Raffle prizes included Xboxes, exclusive golf clubs and a number of vouchers for local attractions and restaurants.

Laura Medley of the Cayman Islands Humane Society said ‘The Cayman Islands Humane Society would like to thank Grant Thornton for their support at their annual golf day for 2018. All funds raised from the day will go towards our spay and neuter program and the ongoing care of the animals at the shelter. Grant Thornton is a very valued supporter of the Humane Society and we hope to continue this partnership for many years to come.’
