UPDATE: Fatal collision at Spotts

The deceased female driver in the fatal collision on Shamrock Road yesterday, Wednesday 11 March 2015 is now identified by RCIPS as 25 year old Rowena Loveta Lee Scott of North Side. Ms. Scott was travelling east along Shamrock Road around 2:22pm in a black Kia Sorrento SUV, left the road way, colliding with a concrete guard wall in the vicinity of Spotts Dock. She was pronounce dead by a doctor at the George Town Hospital.

The male passenger aged 25 years from Bodden Town remains hospitalized with serious injuries, his condition is stable, and his injuries are not considered life threatening.

Any person who may have witnessed the collision or saw Ms. Scott prior the accident is asked to contact Inspector Adrian Barnett at the George Town Police Station on 949 4222.

At 2:22pm Wednesday 11 March 2015, Emergency crews were notified of a serious motor collision on Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Spotts Dock.

A female driver, driving a black Kia SUV heading east towards Bodden Town lost control of her vehicle, ran off the road on the left and collided with a concrete wall. She was pronounced dead at the George Town Hospital. A male passenger also travelling in the vehicle was transported to the George Town Hospital, extent of injuries unknown at this time.

Matter under investigation by senior investigators from RCIPS Traffic Management.

Traffic was diverted: Drivers travelling west into George Town on Shamrock Road were advised to turn right on Hirst Road at the round a bout with Shamrock Road and Hirst Road and use the East West Arterial Highway.

East bound traffic heading travelling towards Bodden Town were diverted through the East West Arterial Highway at the Tomlinson round a bout to the Eastern Districts.

At 5:10pm RCIPS reopened Shamrock Road near Spotts Dock to the motoring public, following the fatal collision just after 2:00pm today.
