Triple C’s Ena Merren Memorial 5K Walk/Run – A Day of Kings

The walkers and runners of the annual Triple C Ena Merren Memorial 5K Walk/Run were greeted with ideal weather for the “Day of Kings Race” on Saturday morning, September 27th at the Seven Mile Public Beach. The support that was shown was from Triple C parents, staff, students, alumni, friends, and corporate teams (Caribbean Utilities Company Ltd & PricewaterhouseCooper).   With walkers and runners of all ages it was truly a family affair. Mrs. Jennifer Allen, a Triple C Alumni and Vice-Principal said, “It was great to see our parents, past Triple C graduates, staff and the general public come and support this great cause that will make a difference in a child’s life. We hope to see this event grow each year with more support from our alumni family and the general public.”

All proceeds raised from this event will aid the Ena Merren Memorial Scholarship Fund.     This scholarship has been named after one of Triple C’s founders, Miss Ena Merren, who assisted students in coming to Triple C School from when they first opened their doors in 1941. Medals and certificates were presented to the overall female, male, boy and girl (18 and under) runners who achieved the best race time.
