DMS celebrates Earth Day with coastal cleanup and party for the planet

jpeg-1 Caymanian business conglomerate DMS celebrated Earth Day 2013 with its customary cleanup, busing a team of forty-eight employees to Grand Cayman’s eastern districts for its annual event.

Several hours of hard labour that included DMS founder and President Don Seymour culminated in celebrations, speeches and lunch at the Morritt’s Resort in the East End.

While giving is an integral facet to the DMS DNA, the afternoon excursion also served as a team building experience away from George Town and the confines of DMS House. Participants received transportation each way via bus, and upon arrival were treated to complimentary lunch.

jpeg“This is not only part and parcel with our corporate social responsibility, but a chance to reconnect with nature, convene outdoors and be thankful for the natural beauty of Cayman that we don’t get to experience every day,” said Senior VP Karen Kersey.

The DMS Gives Back programme provides employees with the opportunity to use up to 16 hours of work time to volunteer within the community, either through events chartered by DMS or through endeavours of their own accord.  Any national, environmental, community, youth or educational organization that is not for profit is eligible for involvement.
