Did you watch “A Day in the Life of a Nurse”?

From University of Miami Health Systems

More than 160 years ago, Florence Nightingale, pioneer of modern medicine, stepped out on to the battlefield to care for the wounded and dying. Today, our nurses are stepping out onto the battlefield of a global pandemic, once again devoted to the health and safety of their patients. They are our health care heroes.

During National Nurses Week, and every day of the year, we honor our UHealth nurses, and nurses around the world, who serve patients with dedication, compassion, and exceptional professionalism.

You’ll see a snapshot of this unwavering commitment in A Day in the Life of a Nurse, a short video that highlights the challenges faced by one of our stellar UHealth nurses, Elijah Virgin, BSN, RN, PMD, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
