KELOWNA–A Kelowna couple is fighting to take re-possession of their home after renting it out to a businessman with a shady past. Julie and Terry Donnelly rented their high-end home two years ago to a Calgary man named Brian Kuhn.
Kuhn wasn’t paying the rent on time or not at all. The Donnellys soon realized that Brian Kuhn is the same man who was convicted in the Cayman Islands in 2003 when he raised $3 million from investors but spent most of the money on himself. Kuhn was also banned from trading stocks in Alberta and British Columbia.
The Donnellys say Kuhn won’t leave their home, even though the city of Kelowna cut off the water to the home about 10 days ago because Kuhn wasn’t paying the utility bill.
