Final becomes fastest sellout in tournament history and first sellout for a sporting event at Allegiant Stadium

Miami, FL (Friday, June 11, 2021) – Las Vegas today proved unequivocally that it IS a “soccer town,” and it only took 90 minutes.

Only days after a capacity crowd and huge TV audience witnessed a thrilling Concacaf Nations League Final in Denver, Colorado, Concacaf has today announced that the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup Final scheduled for August 1 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is sold out.

The Gold Cup Final becomes the fastest sellout in tournament history, and the first sellout for a sporting event at Allegiant Stadium. All general seating tickets sold in just 90 minutes after going on sale to the general public.  More than 60,000 fans are expected at the Final.

“After a week that saw a compelling Concacaf Nations League Final attended by a capacity crowd and viewed on TV by millions of fans, we look forward to what will surely be an unforgettable 2021 Gold Cup this summer,” said Concacaf General Secretary, Philippe Moggio. “The pinnacle of the tournament will be the Gold Cup Final at Las Vegas’ brand new Allegiant Stadium. We know that we are in a fortunate position to have fans back in stadiums, and we are thrilled with such a fast sell-out as we can now look forward to a great crowd enjoying the competition’s championship match. The huge demand is a testament to Las Vegas being a first-class destination, Allegiant Stadium being a spectacular venue and of course the commitment of fans who love the game and passionately follow the Gold Cup,” added Moggio.

â€œThe Concacaf Gold Cup Final is another marquee event at Allegiant Stadium and we’re excited that the event sold out in record time,” said Raiders President Marc Badain. “The success of the Gold Cup Final speaks volumes about the allure of Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium for global sports and entertainment.”

As part of the day’s festivities, fans with tickets will be urged to arrive early to avoid traffic and long waits, and to stop by the Fan Zone presented by Toyota for a chance to win premium items, play games and take a picture with the Gold Cup trophy.

The 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup will officially kick off with a new Preliminary Round (Prelims) at DRV PNK Stadium, home of Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami CF, between July 2-6, 2021. In the Prelims, 12 nations who qualified through their Concacaf Nations League performances will compete for the final three spots in the 16 team Gold Cup Group Stage.

2021 is Concacaf’s 60th anniversary year and the Gold Cup is its flagship men’s competition. The first edition was played in 1991 and the 2021 edition will be the 16th Concacaf Gold Cup. Mexico is the most successful team in Gold Cup history with eight Gold Cup titles, followed by the USA with six and Canada with one. The current Gold Cup champion is Mexico who lifted the Cup in 2019 after defeating the US Men’s National Team 1-0 in a hard-fought final at Chicago’s Soldier Field.
