Grand Cayman – March 5, 2013 – Coalition for Cayman (C4C) today announced their endorsement of independent George Town candidate Jacqueline “Jackee” Haynes for the Legislative Assembly. C4C is a public awareness and advocacy group that is dedicated to electing independent minded leaders who will be accountable and free of partisan political ties.

“Jackee Haynes can get the Cayman Islands back on the right track,” said C4C. “Her extensive and successful business experience will help our government make wiser, more responsible business decisions – something that has been missing over the past few years. And, we know Jackee will always put the good of the Country First as her motives are true to Cayman.”

“It’s time we elect independent, accountable leaders with a true love for Country like Jackee Haynes,” added C4C. “With her independence and passion, we can put aside party differences and get back to doing what is right for Cayman like improving education, protecting families from crime and maintaining our status as one of the leading economic centers in the world.”

Jacqueline was raised in the small community of Harlem in the district of George Town. She graduated from the Cayman Islands High School and earned her law degree from the University of Liverpool. For the past five years, she has worked in the financial and legal sector; having previously worked as an investment and securities analyst with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. A veteran civil servant, Jacqueline spent the first decade of her career as an officer with the Cayman Islands Customs Department and received significant regional and international training in criminal intelligence. She is the only local officer to have been seconded to the regional Joint Intelligence Office as a technical implementation officer.

Additional C4C endorsements for the Legislative Assembly will be announced in the coming days. Previous endorsements for the Legislative Assembly include Roy McTaggart and Winston Connolly.
