Cayman’s Marketers Put Forward Their Greatest Work for Judgement by Leading International Creative Directors, Who Will Honour the Best-of-the-Best at CIMPA 2017 Marketing Awards Ceremony

Over the long hot summer, many of Cayman’s marketers compiled their most successful marketing initiatives from the past two years for submission to the Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association’s (“CIMPA”) 2017 Marketing Awards. Submissions close today and judging will soon commence by the Awards’ independent, international judges, who are some of the most innovative creative directors in their fields. Award winners will be announced at the 2017 Marketing Awards Ceremony on November 3rd.

The biannual Marketing Awards recognise some of the best local marketing campaigns from January 1st, 2015 to December 31st, 2016 and celebrate the creativity, innovation and talent of the Islands’ marketing firms and individuals. This year’s Awards are comprised of eight categories: Marketing Campaign of the Year; Brand of the Year; Digital Campaign of the Year; Agency of the Year; Market Disruptor of the Year; Video of the Year; Marketing Newcomer of the Year; and Marketer of the Year.

Following the excitement of digital media powerhouse VaynerMedia and Top 10 AdAge rated agency the community’s participation in the CIMPA 2017 Conference in June, Chris Logsdon, Creative Director at VaynerMedia, will return trip to Cayman as one of the Awards judges. Joining him is Rodrigo Butori, Executive Creative Director of the community, and Anthony Atkinson, Group Creative Director at Leo Burnett Canada. The judges will be basing their markings on four main categories: impact; engagement; innovation; and differentiation.

“The return of both VaynerMedia and the community, two world-renowned and highly respected marketing agencies, for the Marketing Awards highlights the high calibre of marketing in the Cayman Islands that is keeping pace with a fast-moving global industry,” says Laura Skec, CIMPA Chairman. “As a board, we have been so inspired by the enthusiasm and innovation of our members over the course of 2017 and we can’t wait to unveil an impressive range of work at the Awards Ceremony in November.”

Tickets are now on sale for the 2017 Marketing Awards Ceremony, taking place at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort on November 3rd.
