Cayman: Upcoming Event – Hurricane Ivan Speaker Series Lecture at the National Museum

IVAN – Wikipedia

Here is an upcoming event at the National Museum that we’d love to share. Today, as you all may know, is the 15th Anniversary of Hurricane Ivan the Terrible – the Category 5 Hurricane that released powerful winds on our Islands causing massive devastation. Last night, we hosted our second lecture of the Ivan the Terrible Speaker Series where Hazard Management Cayman Islands and Cayman Islands National Weather Service gave brief presentations on Hurricane Ivan and Hurricane Preparedness – very insightful!

Next week (Tuesday, 17 September 2019)

The National Museum will be hosting its third lecture of the Ivan the Terrible Series on Tuesday, 17 September 2019 @6PM. The event takes place in the Museum’s audiovisual theatre. Joining us will be the President/CEO of Caribbean Utilities Company (“CUC”), Mr Richard Hew, as well as other key organisations that played a crucial role in our Islands’ recovery. We’re welcoming the public to attend and share some of their interesting stories as well. The cost of admission* is C.I. $10 for the public or C.I. $6 for Museum Members and includes refreshments after the event. *All proceeds from all three lectures will be given in aid of the Bahamas’ recovery efforts.

Here’s a link to our e-blast that we’ve been sending out: https://conta.cc/2LGusgp.
