Cayman: Traffic Advisory: Road Closure for Rehearsal for the Kings Birthday Parade

The RCIPS is informing the public of the following road closure taking place on Saturday 14 June, between 5:30AM – 9:30AM, to facilitate rehearsal for the Kings Birthday Parade.
A section of West Bay Road will be closed between the west entrance of Governor’s Square (just north of Governor’s Beach parking lot) and the area near Eats Café (Cayman Falls Plaza), to accommodate the rehearsal for the parade procession.
The following diversions will be put on place to enable continued flow of traffic around the area:
Northbound Diversion: Northbound traffic on West Bay Road will be diverted at Safehaven Drive. Local access to the Westin and nearby businesses will still be allowed. All other traffic must use Safehaven Drive to reach the Esterley Tibbetts Highway.
Southbound Diversion: Southbound traffic heading toward Governor’s Beach will be diverted left through Governor’s Square, then onto Lime Tree Bay Avenue to access the Esterley Tibbetts Highway.
Lime Tree Bay Avenue Closure: Lime Tree Bay Avenue will be closed to westbound traffic near the southwest entrance of Governor’s Square.
Access to West Bay Road (North of Governor’s Beach): Vehicles coming from the Esterley Tibbetts Highway needing access to properties just north of Governor’s Beach will be routed through Governor’s Square. Access to Regatta will remain open.
Access to Governor’s Beach: The public can still reach Governor’s Beach by vehicle or on foot via West Bay Road from the north.
The public is advised to exercise caution while traveling in these areas during the time period.
