The National Roads Authority (NRA) wishes to inform the public of an important change to the speed limit on Frank Sound Road. Effective immediately, the speed limit between the junction of Bodden Town Road/ Seaview Road/ Frank Sound Road to Botanic Road has been reduced from 50MPH to 40PMH.

This adjustment comes as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety in residential and high-traffic areas. The decision to reduce the speed limit follows a review of traffic patterns, accident data, and community feedback indicating the need for safer travel speeds along this stretch of road, which is frequently used by school buses, cyclists, and pedestrians, especially near the Botanic Park and local residences. 

The updated speed limit signage will be installed on Wednesday 7th May 2025.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution whilst the signs are being updated. The NRA reminds drivers to stay alert, and adhere to the posted speed limits.
