I’m really impressed with the level of preparedness and level of detail with which the whole HMCI operation has been set up. Obviously I’m very proud of our Department of Environment and the great work that they do. They must continue doing that. The National Weather Service is integral to all emergency services and all that we do here.

That’s why I’ve created this Ministry that builds in sustainability and ensures that we have climate resilience built in as well. I’ve really enjoyed meeting everyone. It has been a wonderful day.”

Cabinet Meets/Press Conference Set

Ahead of tomorrow’s COVID-19 press-conference to be broadcast live on CIGTV from 3p.m. Premier Wayne Panton and his Cabinet met today to discuss matters of national concern, such as uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine.
