Cayman Partner included in 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds report for 2022

Catherine Pham

Mourant Partner and Practice Leader of the firm’s Cayman Islands-based Corporate team, Catherine Pham, has been recognised by the Hedge Fund Journal in their Top 50 Women in Hedge Funds report for 2022

The report is now in its tenth year of recognising and highlighting top female talent in the hedge funds sphere. In this year’s report, 49 of the 50 women included are new to the report. Catherine is the only woman based in the Cayman Islands to feature.

Catherine is member of the Mourant Global Management Committee and an active member of 100 Women in Finance in Cayman, which seeks to build a more diverse and gender equitable finance industry through initiatives including peer engagement, impact, and education events. She also belongs to Women in Fund Finance, which focuses on the increased engagement, recognition and promotion of women leaders within the alternative investment fund finance industry.

Recognised in the independent Chambers and Partners Global Guide as being “well regarded among commentators in the Cayman Islands” and known for having “deep expertise in fund launches and a plethora of related issues,” Catherine regularly advises sponsors, investment banks and investment managers on the structuring, formation, regulation and governance of investment fund structures, their downstream transactions and exit mechanisms. She also advises institutional, strategic and seed investors in connection with their investments into investment funds.

On her recognition, Catherine said: “It is an honour to be included on the list of Top 50 Women in Hedge Funds, especially given the exceptional calibre of my peers featured in the report this year. I would like to extend my thanks to the Hedge Fund Journal and sponsor EY for continuing to shine a light on top female talent in this previously underrepresented area of the profession.”
