Schoolgirl still missing (See above – FOUND)

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the well-being of a diabetic teenager who has been missing from her Bodden Town home since Friday, 1 March 2013.

Ashley McLaughlin, who is 15 years of age, left her home in Bodden Town around 7.00am on Friday to attend the Clifton Hunter High School. She did not return home after school and has not been in contact with members of her family since. Ashley has been reported missing on a number of previous occasions and is known to frequent the George Town area.

Officers have received a report that Ashley was seen with two young females around 5.00pm on Saturday, 2 March. At this time she was in the vicinity of the Emslie Memorial Church on the George Town waterfront. She was wearing a long pink, yellow and blue tube top dress.

Despite extensive enquiries with Ashley’s friends and family no further sighting have been reported.

It is not known at this stage if Ashley is in possession of insulin to appropriately medicate her diabetes. As stated previously she has been reported missing a number of times before. On each of these occasions, when she was located, she was taken to hospital to receive treatment for her condition.

Ashley is described as being about 5’5” in height, brown complexion, shoulder length dark hair, big eyes, and has a dark spot/mole on the left side of her nose.

Anyone who has any information about Ashley’s movements since Friday, or who knows of her current whereabouts, is asked to contact Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.
