Cayman National Trust launches virtual walkthrough of the Mission House

The National Trust for the Cayman Islands has launched a new online feature which provides a virtual walkthrough of the Mission House in Bodden Town. This fully interactive experience enables visitors to the National Trust’s website to gain around-the-clock online access to this historic home.
The virtual walkthrough consists of a set of high resolution 360 degree panoramic images that users can fully control with their mouse, trackpad or finger. It can also be downloaded for the use on Google cardboard goggles or the Samsung Gear VR headsets. This allows visitors to move around any of the rooms in the Mission House and offers a glimpse of the traditional building styles, materials and furniture contained within this beautifully restored property.
It is hoped that the virtual walkthrough technology will complement the National Trust’s guided tours of the Mission House, which continue to be available Monday through Friday. These tours take visitors back to an earlier time in Cayman’s history and tell the many stories of the families who resided there and showcase artifacts from their lives. Tours can be reserved by contacting the National Trust at [email protected] or by calling 749-1121.
The virtual walkthough of the Mission House was made possible by the support of IRG – International Realty Group who introduced this virtual reality technology in order to provide potential home buyers with the ability to tour properties from anywhere in the world.   To find out how virtual realty could assist with selling your home please contact [email protected] or visit www.irgcayman.com for all IRG’s property listings and virtual tours.
