Cayman Islands ZQFS makes donation to Cayman Airways Flight Club

7 June 2018 GT, .The Zak Quappe Flight Scholarship (“”) made a in the amount of CI $1,200 to the Cayman Airways (Clifton Hunter High School Chapter). The CHHS Flight Club will be sending Flight Club members to the Florida Institute of Technology’s week long flight camp this summer. Pictured is ZQFS committee members Chuck and Barrie Quappe and CHHS Flight Club Director Alfred C. Gordon. Mr. Gordon indicated that the flight club’s key objectives are to get students motivated and interested in the field of aviation, promote discipline while mentoring students on career choices in aviation. ZQFS is one of many Cayman Islands business sponsors of this year’s flight camp program. The ZQFS, which is separate from the CHHS flight club, is a scholarship program set up to assist young Caymanians in their dreams in becoming pilots. Since the scholarship was created, the scholarship sponsored two such individuals in achieving this dream with a third currently set for 2018 summer training. All recipients view this current donation to the CHHS Flight Club as a perfect vehicle in which to utilized scholarship funds
