Cayman Islands ready for Reggae Boyz battle UPDATE: Jamaica 4 Cayman Islands 0 (HT Jam 2 Cay 0)

By Kwesi Mugisa From Sportsmax

Cayman Islands goalkeeper Ramon Sealy insists the team is ready to give the much more fancied Jamaica Reggae Boyz a fight when they meet in the CONCACAF National League Qualifiers on Sunday.

The 202nd ranked Cayman Islands have not historically fared well against the Jamaicans losing 7 and drawing one of the last eight encounters. The last time the teams met in George Town, Cayman, it was the Reggae Boyz who came out 4-1 winners.

While being cautious to state that he did not expect a complete reversal of fortunes, Sealy warned that the encounter against the Caribbean’s top-ranked team would perhaps not be the walkover that most expect.

“I think it’s a good test of where we are. We can use this game to push forward to the [Dominican Republic] and the games where we feel we have a better chance of winning. I’m not saying that I’m not going out there to win but definitely to fight against Jamaica and see what we can get out of this game and move forward,” Sealy told CaymanSportsBuzz.com. “If you go out there and put too much pressure on yourself, you’ll start making mistakes. The best thing for us to do is to go out there and have fun and try to execute the game plan as best as we can.”
