Just after 12:30PM yesterday, 15 February, police patrolling in South Sound were flagged down by a man who alerted them to a burglary-in-progress. The man had been kitesurfing when he spotted three youths running out of the back of his residence; he came ashore and found property missing. Other police units then joined the area and officers spotted three youths that matched the description some distance away. When asked to stop by the police, two of the suspects ran and a long foot pursuit with officers ensued by the rugby club near Anne Bonny Crescent. One was apprehended and the other is still at large.
Two males, both juveniles, of George Town and West Bay, were then arrested on suspicion of burglary, and are in Police custody.
