The victim in the shooting below underwent surgery on Sunday and is now in stable condition.

A police investigation is underway into the shooting incident.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call 949-4222 or 800-TIPS.

About 3:25 AM on Sunday 7 August 2016 the police received a report of a male with gunshot wounds in the Grescott Lane area of George Town. The victim was transported to the George Town Hospital before the police arrived on the scene and is being treated for what appears to be gunshot wounds.

The police are still on the scene of the shooting and investigations continue.

The police is appealing to witnesses to get in touch with the CID at George Town Police Station at 949 4222.
