Around 9:15PM on Monday evening, 9 January, officers responded to a report of a man making threats to kill at a residence on Getsamay Lane in West Bay.  The man was arguing about rent money with a tenant on the property when he threatened the tenant with a machete and held it to his throat.  He also allegedly made threats to others on the property.  Officers arrested the man, who resisted, and a search of his residence at the same address recovered items.

The man, age 45 of West Bay, has been in Police custody and was charged yesterday, 11 January, when he will appear in court on the following charges:

Causing Fear or Provocation of Violence

Possession of an Offensive Weapon

The man is scheduled to be in court today, 12 January.
