On Wednesday (23) the Cayman Islands government announced the launch of Cayman Maritime Week.

This is a new world-class annual event created by Cayman Shipping Registry and the Cayman Islands’ maritime sector to attract maritime professionals from across the globe.

The three-day conference in the Cayman Islands is scheduled to run from 2nd to 4th May 2016.

Participants in the announcement were:

Minister of Financial Services, Commerce and Environment, Hon. Wayne Panton and Cayman Maritime Week Committee members Ms. Sherice Arman, Counsel, Maples and Calder; Mr. John Aune, Deputy Director (GT), Cayman Registry; Mr. Charlie Kirkconnell, CEO of Cayman Maritime Services Park, part of Cayman Enterprise City; Mr. Alasdair Robertson, Global Managing Partner, Maples and Calder.
