Cayman Islands: Isy B. & Sand Angels: Looking good & doing good

A match made in heaven Isy and CatherineCayman-based womenswear brand Isy B. and Sand Angels, the premier boutique in the Cayman Islands for luxury resortwear have come together to host a runway event on June 2nd, 2016 which will raise funds and awareness for the NCVO Caring Cousins Program. The event celebrates the launch of the newest Isy B. collection for sale at Sand Angels, Camana Bay.

Isy B. has seen unparalleled international success following its launch in 2015; presenting its collection at London Fashion Week, Allure Fashion Weekend, and Cayman Islands Fashion Week, and being picked up by New York based online retailer and Macy’s partner Nineteenth Amendment at the end of 2015. Now the brand looks forward to having a retail base in Cayman at Sand Angels.

Sand Angels’ founder, Catherine Dawson-James’ eye for searching out new design talent and bringing it to Cayman has been honed over 20 years in the swim and resortwear Industry. She plans now to include local brand Isy B. among her constellation of handpicked designers.

“Sand Angels has a history of supporting organisations in Cayman whose ambitions are to excel on the international stage. Some of the organisations we’ve supported include the Cayman Islands Women’s Beach Volleyball team and the Miss Cayman Beauty Pageant,” said Catherine. “We are pleased now to support to local Cayman brand Isy B. by bringing it on board at Sand Angels. We love the brand’s concept and elegant collections and know that it will be a great fit for our store. The runway event is a great way for Sand Angels and Isy B. to bring Cayman’s fashionistas together for a good cause.”

The NCVO is a local not-for-profit charitable organisation dedicated to the care, education and wellbeing of children in Cayman. The NCVO Caring Cousins program currently provides much needed school lunches for 37 children in Cayman.
The new Isy B. collection will be released exclusively for Cayman ahead of its release for sale anywhere else in the world later this year and features a new print design called “Cayman Water.”

Tickets for the event on 2 June 2016 are available at Sand Angels for $25 where the event will take place from 6pm until 8pm. The evening, hosted by local designer, Isy Obi, is also supported by Camana Bay and complimentary bubbles on arrival is sponsored by the West Indies Wine Company.
Fashionistas can expect to see latest collections from Isy B. and Sand Angels on the runway and modeled by some of Cayman’s top local models. The NCVO will also be present to provide more information about their various programs, and sign up new volunteers and supporters.
