Screen Shot 2016-02-15 at 11.58.32 AMGet ready Cayman! The 5th Annual Island Heritage CharityDrive is set to take place on Saturday, 23 April 2016 with new and more fun ways for the community to get involved and help raise money for charity.

In previous years, Island Heritage donated up to $35,000 in direct donations to three local charities over three days, giving as much as $10,000 to each charity with a bonus of $5,000 to the charity with the most social media support. This year, Island Heritage employees voted for their favorite charity to take part, and all proceeds will go directly to one lucky charity, The Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Breast Cancer Foundation will benefit by earning as much as $25,000 from Island Heritage. The amount of funding donated by Island Heritage depends on the level of support and involvement from the community. In addition, the Company has added in an additional fundraising event on the day called the “Charity Plunge” where all entry fees to the event will also be donated to the charity.

Here’s how CharityDrive will work:

Island Heritage Drive for CharityIsland Heritage will donate $1 on your behalf, up to $25,000, for every car that drives past the Island Heritage Roundabout, Facebook ‘Support’ click on Island Heritage’s Facebook page, Twitter mention of @charitydriveky, ‘Like’ on Instagram and person who participates in the Charity Plunge.

There are other ways to get involved and help increase the donations. The fifth way is to take part in the Charity Plunge at Royal Palms from 2 p.m. — 6 p.m. on CharityDrive day. The entry fee is just $10 to slide into a pool of balls for your chance to win fabulous prizes including the grand-prize of $2,000 cash! The more you slide the more chances you have to win. All entry fees will be donated to the charity.

You can also make direct donations to The Breast Cancer Foundation by visiting charitydrive.ky or to learn more about this exciting event.
