How you could be part of the art!

The Gimistory 2014 International Storytelling Festival is scheduled to run from 29th November to 6th December and will travel to all districts and more than 10 schools across the Cayman Islands. This year’s Gimistory will feature over a dozen performers from all over the world including Amina Blackwood-Meeks, Ken Corsbie, Edgar Ortiz,Lord Relator, Ray Funk, Lady Africa & Blacksage who are crowd favourites, always leaving audiences wanting more Caribbean tales from around the world, sweet kaiso (calypso) music and of course, lively ‘extempo’, the art of composing songs, on any topic, on the spot. Among the local tellers, who are helping to keep the Caymanian storytelling telling tradition alive, featured are Jevaughnie Ebanks, Priscilla Pouchie and Matt Brown.

‘Red Sky at Night’ Arts Festival is on 28th February 2015. The event is an unnamed-3enchanting evening, rich in arts and culture. Walking through the gardens of the Harquail unnamed-4Cultural Centre, visitors will be treated to live performances from dancers, actors and storytellers as well as creative work by local visual artists and crafts people. Celebrated films from around the Caribbean and inspiring performances will be featured within the festival theatres. Visitors will be escorted by the sounds of the steel pan, fiddle and drums and lured by a mouthwatering array of local culinary delicacies. For all the reasons we love arts and culture in the Cayman Islands!

We would like to invite YOU to be part of the art. You could have your name and company logo on one or both of these flags. The flags will appear in very prominent positions at Gimistory and Red Sky At Night seen by over 2000 people at each event. You can choose to sponsor one flag at one event or numerous flags at both events. The choice is yours.

Your flag will “lead the way” to the Festivals!

All we ask is a donation of $300 per flag and your logo in a high res format.

Artwork must be provided to CNCF no later than 7th November 2014.

If you would like to have your company seen by a large audience at one of Cayman’s most popular events and at the same time support local arts, then please contact Tracie at [email protected] for more information.
