2016 is off to a flying start for the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) as the campus prepares for TEDxUCCI: FutureVision slated for March 19. The organisers continue to seek speakers who have an idea about the future that’s worth sharing with the local community as well as with an international audience.

“We are looking for people from ALL disciplines: thought leaders, visionaries, artists, inventors, hobbyists and adventurers who will provide a glimpse of what the future might hold for us all. What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a programme called TEDx. TEDx is a programme of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Ours is called TEDxUCCI, where x = independently organised TED event. At our TEDxUCCI event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx programme, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.

For further information about the event, please email Kristel Sanchez, TEDxUCCI Marketing and Comms Leader, at [email protected].
