Cayman Islands Charity Fashion Show helps feed students

A recent fashion show held in conjunction with Sand Angels and local fashion house Isy B Designs has netted $500.00 donation for the NCVO’s Caring Cousins lunch programme.

The “Hello Summer” fashion event held on Thursday 11th May, highlighted Isy B’s 2017 Summer Collection as well as swim, athletic and resort wear available at the Camana Bay location. This is the second charity fashion show in as many years to benefit the NCVO.

The Caring Cousins programme funds daily lunches and snacks for students in need across Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac. The programme currently supports 38 students in several public schools.

NCVO Coordinator, Mona Meade was grateful to receive the funds from the event. “It is wonderful to see that people really care and are willing to help in any way they can to assist our children in getting a hot meal during the school day. We are so grateful to Isy Oby and Sand Angels for their kindness,” she said.

The NCVO Children Services runs several programmes which assist hundreds of children and families in Cayman’s community, including the Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home, the Jack and Jill Nursery and Miss Nadine’s Pre-School.
