Cayman Islands Airline move to new check in hall

From CIAA

As part of the construction and redevelopment works being carried out at ORIA, please note the following updates this weekend with respect to the airlines and new Check-In Hall area:

Effective Friday, 23 February 2018, all of the airlines will move over into the new Check-In Hall. This is to facilitate works being carried out in the airlines’ current check-in desk areas. However, some Cayman Airways flights will still be processed at their current counters. Due to this move being carried out, we anticipate temporary congestion in the new Check-In Hall area during the peak times of 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and passengers are therefore being asked to allow for sufficient time to check in for their flight by arriving at the airport at least three (3) hours prior to departure.

Please note that passengers who arrive at the airport more than three (3) hours prior to departure may be asked to return to the terminal at a later time, as holding space inside the new Check-In Hall will be limited, and priority will be given to those passengers departing within the three-hour window. This time window also applies at the security checkpoint as passengers may only be allowed to join the Security line once they are within the three-hour window. This process has been put in place to help control the flow of passengers and alleviate congestion inside the Departures Hall.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank the public for their continued patience.
