Motor Vehicle Collision on Huldah Avenue, 26 September

Just before 7:45AM police and other emergency personnel were dispatched to Huldah Avenue by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre, where it was report  that a trailer from a truck unhitched and collided with a vehicle that was travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital with what is considered to be non-life-threatening-injuries.

There was extensive damage to the vehicle it collided with.  Signage and other roadside properties were also damaged as a result of the collision.

The matter is under police investigation.

We have been receiving calls of an accident outside The Red Cross building on Huldah Avenue, George Town.

We understand an ambulance, fire truck and police are on the scene.

We advise all motorists to avoid the area if possible.
