Cayman: HSA amends visitor policy to safeguard community against COVID-19

The Health Services Authority today announced changes in its visitor policy to protect the health of its employees, patients, visitors and the community.

As part of the announced changes, the hospital is appealing to visitors who are experiencing cold or flu symptoms to refrain from visiting patients.   In addition, visitors who have traveled to China, Japan, South Korea, Iran and all countries in the Schengen area (EU) in the last 14 days or have been in close contact with someone who has traveled to these countries are being asked to defer their visits.

“Prevention of COVID-19 is the best defense against the virus and is the responsibility of each member of our community  as we work together to better understand and protect our vulnerable patient population and the health and well-being of our staff in the face of this global pandemic, and apologize for any inconvenience,” says HSA CEO, Lizzette Yearwood.
