Cayman has a new aviation company

Blu logoGEORGE TOWN, Grand Cayman, BlueSky Aviation has taken off as Cayman’s newest aviation company.

BlueSky is a company born from the need to efficiently connect people with the places they need to go, taking the most direct route possible, with the result of saving precious hours and even days of travel time.

BlueSky will initially launch BlueSky Exec Jets, providing exclusive, on-demand private luxury aircraft charters from Grand Cayman.  Designed to accommodate the corporate or luxury-seeking customer, the BlueSky Exec Jets fleet will include planes such as the Lear Jet 55 and the Citation Ultra, flying to destinations around the Caribbean and around the world.  Perfect for making a business trip to the BVI, spending a day golfing in the Dominican Republic or planning a corporate hurricane evacuation solution, flying with BlueSky Exec Jets will allow you to spend your valuable time doing the things that are important to you.

In addition to the Exec Jets services, BlueSky Aviation will soon be operating scheduled routes connecting Cayman to the rest of the Caribbean and Central and South America as BlueSky Airlines, using international hubs in Latin America as gateways for making onward south-east and south-west connections. BlueSky Holidays and BlueSky Cargo will be established to open up new sources of tourism, trade and commerce for the Cayman Islands and the wider Caribbean.

BlueSky spokesperson Mark Ellinger said, “BlueSky is uniquely positioned as it will not compete with Cayman Airways or any of the other carriers into the Cayman Islands.  We have carefully identified other routes to destinations commonly travelled by people moving in and out of the Cayman Islands.  We have designed our offering to take advantage of large hubs in South America.  If you want to fly to South Africa, why would you opt to first fly north?”

BlueSky’s business model is compelling.  It is based on providing value to customers, with competitive fares, no hidden fees and maximising efficiency by minimising travel times.  Said Ellinger “Most people I know would avoid travelling through Miami if another option were conveniently available.”

BlueSky is committed to contributing to the local economy by hiring local people and businesses to support their launch and ongoing operations.  Fountainhead Business Development has been appointed lead strategic and creative agency and Travel Pros is handling travel reservations.

Bookings for BlueSky Exec Jets can be made through calling 345 949-EXEC (3932), toll free from the USA on 1-866-213-6144 or by e-mail at [email protected].
