Cayman – GTRI Project Update: Temporary Road Closures for Paving and Restriping Sat & Sun 15-16 February

George Town, Cayman Islands – February 14, 2025 – The Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport & Development (PAHITD) and the George Town Revitalization Initiative (GTRI) announce temporary road closures to facilitate essential paving and restriping work as part of the ongoing infrastructure improvements in the capital.
Scheduled Road Closures:
Saturday, February 15, 2025 – From 7:00 PM
Sunday, February 16, 2025 – Until 1:00 PM
The planned works will be carried out as follows:
* Saturday Night (February 15): Island Paving will conduct road paving operations overnight to minimize disruptions to traffic and businesses.
* Sunday Morning (February 16): The National Roads Authority (NRA) will begin road restriping and finalize markings, ensuring improved traffic flow and road safety.
During this period, temporary traffic restrictions will be in effect, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes and allow extra travel time.
* Traffic diversions will be in place, and signage will be posted to guide motorists.
* Residents and visitors are encouraged to follow instructions from on-site traffic management personnel.
