Cayman: George Town man Charged with Burglary and Drug Offences

A 35-year-old-man has been formally charged with Burglary contrary to the Penal Code (2019 Revision), Possession of Ganja with Intent to Supply and Consumption of Ganja contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act (2017 Revision).

The charges are in relation to a burglary that was reported to the police on 3 November, where a quantity of cash was stolen from a location on Prospect Point Road in George Town. The man was arrested at his residence in George Town on 24 November. A search of the property was carried out at the time of his arrest and during the search, a quantity of ganja was seized as evidence, and the man was further arrested on suspicion of possession of ganja with intent to supply.

The George Town man is the third person to be charged with Burglary this week. He is expected to appear in court today, 26 November.
