Cayman: COVID-19 Update – 31 January 2022, 580 NEW Positives (over 27-29 Jan)

Public Health has released COVID-19 figures for 27-29 January. 

Positive cases reported to Public Health during this period are currently as follows:

27/01/2022198 positives
28/01/2022182 positives
29/01/2022200 positives.

Active cases currently stand at 5,708. There are currently 18 hospitalised persons, two of which were newly admitted.

The Sister Islands also noted 22 new cases since their report on Friday, for  a total of 67 active cases.

NOTE:  Public Health is responsible for compiling and continuously cleaning a 24/7 stream of data from all testing centres in the Islands. As such numbers reported at a particular time of day may be subject to fluctuation both upwards and downwards if new data arrives thereafter. The Public Health Department focuses its data cleaning efforts throughout the week on ensuring that the numbers in the weekly sitrep report that is published every Wednesday are as clean as possible.
