Cayman: COVID-19 Update 21 June 2021, ONE NEW positive, 88,911 total COVID-19 vaccinations given

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 566 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Friday, 18 June, 2021. There was one positive result in a traveller.

A traveller toward the end of the 14-day quarantine has been admitted to the Critical Care Unit at the Cayman Islands Hospital suffering from symptoms attributed to COVID-19 disease; this person is in stable condition.

To date, 88,911 COVID-19 vaccinations have been given in total in the Cayman Islands.  Of these, 47,061 (66% of 71,100) had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and approximately 59% have completed the two-dose course.

The vaccine supply for clinics on Grand Cayman has been replenished. Vaccine clinics have resumed and are now offering both first and second doses.

The latest COVID-19 vaccination schedule is available at:

  • Park in the long-term parking lot.
  • Do not bring children, when possible.
  • No pets allowed at the vaccination clinic.
  • Bring a completed consent form for Dose 1.
  • Facemasks required.
  • You need to bring your vaccination card to receive your second dose.
