Cayman: Colours Caribbean has officially opened its “Colours Community Centre,” the first of its kind in the Cayman Islands

As a multi-regional, legally registered non-profit organisation representing and serving the marginalised and vulnerable LGBTQIA+ people of the Caribbean and Latin America, Colours Caribbean is proud to announce the opening of our new “Colours Community Centre” in the Cayman Islands.

Our “Colours Community Centre” will serve a multitude of purposes, chief among them being the provision of a safe and secure physical space for vulnerable members of the local LGBTQIA+ community to gather and provide support or seek assistance.

We’ll use this space to host regular educational workshops, social events, training sessions and volunteer activities to better serve our community and further our mission. We’d also like to welcome donations from the public as well as additional volunteers to assist us in continuing to develop the space by contributing their time to the overseeing of day-to-day operations and creating a welcoming environment for LGBTQIA+ at-risk youth.

For further information on our “Colours Community Centre,” visit our website.

We’d like to extend our thanks to QuantumaPricewaterhouseCoopers and the Oxford University LGBTQ+ Society for their generous donations which were pivotal in making this vital resource possible for the LGBTQIA+ community of the Cayman Islands.
