Lauren Christie

The Chamber of Commerce continues to offer critical support to local businesses, members and  non-members through its series of free webinars, themed Supporting Businesses in a Time of Crisis.

The fourth webinar, hosted in partnership with Berman Fisher, will take place Friday, April 24,  from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.  The session will focus on financial assistance and planning in a Covid-19 world and provide guidance to micro and small businesses wanting to access relief measures being offered by government and other entities. The session will also provide practical accounting tips for doing business in a time of crisis.

The facilitators will be Lauren Christie and Michelle Fisher of Berman Fisher. Questions will be fielded by the facilitators and representatives of the CICBD.

“The Chamber’s main focus is to do all we can to help businesses get through this Covid-19 crisis in the best way possible.  We are hosting this webinar to ensure that micro and small businesses have adequate information on how to access Government’s recently announced relief measures and to provide answers to as many of their questions as possible,” CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, Wil Pineau, said.

This will be a follow-up to last week’s webinar when the Cayman Islands Centre for Business Development (CICBD) offered meeting attendees information on Government’s recently announced relief measures for micro and small businesses.

It will provide further information on the measures, including eligibility criteria and what businesses need to do if they do not currently have the required accounting records.  Business owners will also be given other practical accounting tips on  cost cutting, cash flow forecasting and other steps they can take to achieve accounting and operational efficiency in this Covid-19 environment.
