Cayman: Cabinet Post Meeting Summary 11 February 2025

A meeting of the Cabinet was convened on Tuesday, 11th February 2025 in the Cabinet Conference Room,Government Administration Building.

Parliamentary Secretary the Hon W. McKeeva Bush acted for the Hon Minister for Social Development
and Innovations, the Hon Isaac Rankine, acted as Minister for Tourism and Ports and Ms Reshma Sharma
acted as Attorney General. all other Ministers and Members of Cabinet were present.

At this meeting Cabinet:

Approved pursuant to section 3 and Schedule 2 of the National Conservation Act, 2023 the
following:
o Removal of the following persons to the National Conservation Council: Stuart Mailer,
Chair; Lisa Hurlston-McKenzie, Member; Pierre Foster, Member; Lucille Seymour,
Member; Patricia Bradley, Member; and Stephen Broadbelt;
o Replacement of the late Capt. Harrison Bothwell to the National Conservation Council
with Kenny Ryan;
o Re-appointment of the following persons to the National Conservation Council: Ian
Kirkham, Member; and Frank Roulstone, Member; and
o Appointment of the following persons to the National Conservation Council: Gilbert
McLean, Chair; Ezzard Miller, Member; Capt Eugene Ebanks, Member; Steve McField,
Member; Arden McLean, Member; and Paula Tathum, Member.

Confirmed approval granted by circulation on 4th February 2025 for the re-appointment of Jerome
McCoy as the Minister of Education’s representative on the University College of the Cayman
Islands Board of Governors;

Confirmed approval granted by circulation on 4th February 2025 of the Traffic (Amendment) Act,
2024 (Commencement) Order, 2025 and the Public Transport Act, 2024 (Commencement) Order,
2025;

Confirmed approval granted by circulation on 7th February 2025 the following:
o the Financial Assistance (Amendment) Regulations, 2025; and
o pursuant to section 11(5) and 11(6) of the Public Management and Finance Act (2020
Revision) to increase TP 41 – Financial Assistance by $2,978,250.00 and increase TP 47 –
Ex-Gratia Benefits of Seamen and Veterans by $2,370,500;

Confirmed notation of Note on 3rd February 2025 of CINICO Health Insurance coverage for
newborn in-need; and

 Approved pursuant to section 3 and Schedule 2 of the National Conservation Act, 2023 the

following:

o Removal of the following persons to the National Conservation Council: Stuart Mailer, Chair; Lisa Hurlston-McKenzie, Member; Pierre Foster, Member; Lucille Seymour, Member; Patricia Bradley, Member; and Stephen Broadbelt;
