Cayman Brac invaded

Hundreds of thousands of baby red land crabs are invading the Cayman Islands in an annual migration that residents say is more pronounced this year.

The crabs are blanketing roads and crawling up buildings on Cayman Brac in an event that is expected to last about a month.

The deputy director of the Cayman Islands Department of Environment says the crabs likely hatched a few weeks ago. The recent “supermoon” and low tides likely have made it easier for the crabs to get back to land after being born in the ocean.

So, does this mean there are hurricanes heading this way? The predictions go against this theory but perhaps no one has informed the hurricanes yet.
