Cayman: 20 more Cuban Migrants arrive

The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) confirms that another 20 migrants arrived in Cayman Brac around 10:45 pm on 1, May 2022. Twelve (12) of the migrants have disembarked the vessel and have stated that they will not continue the journey. 

The other eight (8) migrants remained on board the vessel last night which was moored off the Scotts Dock in Cayman Brac. Those eight (8) migrants departed Cayman Brac at approximately 7:45 am this morning. 

The twelve (12) migrants that disembarked are being processed in accordance with CBC’s established protocols.
This follows the 19 migrants who arrived over the weekend.
