Camana Bay Aquatic Club tryouts and registration Sat June 2

Anyone interested in joining the Camana Bay Aquatic Club (CBAC) for the 2012/2013 season should stop by the Camana Bay Pool on Saturday 2 June between 8am and 4:30pm when Coaches Katie Lambert and Dominic Ross will be holding Tryouts and Registration.

CBAC is a competitive swim team for swimmers ages 5-18, which offers top coaching and an excellent club atmosphere. They have swimmers from the novice level to the national level and also offer an Age Group Fitness Programme for multi-sport athletes.

TRYOUTS: New swimmers will have an opportunity to show their knowledge of the 4 competitive strokes and talk with Coach Katie and Coach Dominic who will recommend a personal plan for the 2012/2013 season.

REGISTRATION: Current Camana Bay Aquatic Club swimmers and anyone who has completed the tryout will have an opportunity to register for the upcoming season, have their uniform measurements taken and get a copy of the 2012/2013 Training Schedule and Swim Meet List.

CBAC Novice Programme

This programme is designed for young swimmers that are interested in competitive swimming. Swimmers are expected to participate in all local meets and may be selected for international competition.

Ages: 9 & Under

Tryout Format: Swim four lengths of the pool – one length of each stroke

Age Group Fitness Programme

This programme covers a variety of aquatic skills including competitive swimming, water polo, lifeguarding skills, fitness tests and games to develop athletic ability. This programme can be used as a stepping stone to the Competitive Age Group Programme or as a fitness alternative for multi-sport

athletes.

Ages: 10-18

Tryout Format: Swim four lengths of the pool – one length of each stroke

Competitive Age Group Programme

This programme is open to swimmers that are committed to competitive swimming and have already developed the necessary skills. Swimmers are expected to attend all local meets and may be selected for

international competition. Swimmers must be goal-orientated and have a keen interest in the sport.

Ages: 10-18

Tryout Format: 45 minute training session with coaches Tryout Times:

8 – 9am Competitive Age Group Tryouts (Option 1)

11am – 12pm Age Group Fitness Programme Tryouts**

1 – 3pm Novice Programme Tryouts**

3:30 – 4:30pm Competitive Age Group Tryouts (Option 2)
