Africa’s top locations for vaccine production

Hello everyone, this is Jacopo in London. 

In the past months we have witnessed to the rise of vaccine nationalism as developing economies struggle to secure a stable supply of Covid-19 vaccines. This state of things is nothing new for African countries. The continent as a whole still imports 99% of its vaccines. A turning point may be close as Moderna and BioNTech are both planning to manufacture vaccines locally. Danielle Myles crunched our fDi Benchmark data to find out the most competitive African locations for the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.  

Elsewhere, we reported on the burgeoning offshore wind market, where investment levels are expected to nearly match those of new offshore oil and gas projects by 2030, and we also took a look at Italy’s latest effort to overhaul its Byzantine justice system.
