41-year-old Caymanian male arrested for assault and damage to property [identified as radio host Austin Harris]

The 41-year-old George Town man who was arrested yesterday for assault and damage to property was interviewed by West Bay detectives this morning (11).  He was re-bailed to reappear at the West Bay Police Station at a later date pending further inquiries.

The RCIPS can confirm that West Bay police officers are investigating a report of an assault and damage to property that occurred at a private residence at Governors Harbour last night (Sun 9) involving a 41-year-old Caymanian male who resides in the George Town area and a female victim. The report was made to the RCIPS just after 10:00 pm.

Today (Mon 10), at 2:40 PM, the 41-year-old was arrested at the George Town Police Station for assault (actual bodily harm) and damage to property. He has been bailed to reappear at the Police Station on Tuesday (11).

The “41-year-old Caymanian male” has been identified as Rooster talk show radio host Austin Harris who did not appear on his show today (10). Hurley’s Entertainment the owners of Rooster said Mr. Harris had been suspended.
