ERICK NOW A HURRICANE… …EXPECTED TO BRING HURRICANE CONDITIONS AND LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODS TO PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN MEXICO LATER TONIGHT AND THURSDAY

SYNOPSIS

Fresh to occasionally strong winds and moderate to rough seas are expected throughout the next 24 hours mainly across Grand Cayman in association with a ridge of high pressure across the northwest Caribbean maintaining a tight pressure gradient. In addition, hazy conditions will linger as Saharan dust continues to spread across the Caribbean.

Day: Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. Winds E at 15 to 25 mph.

Night: Mostly cloudy skies early, then partly cloudy after midnight. Winds E at 10 to 20 mph.

Chance of rain: 40%.

Sea: Moderate to rough with a wave height of 5 to 7 feet. Small craft should exercise caution over open water.

Humidity: 75%

UV: 11 EXTREME (Down from yesterday). Daily Max at 11 AM
