Yet another mood-boosting reason to visit the Caribbean – A beach filled with puppies

By TAMIM ALNUWEIR Good Travel From Well and Good

Among the endless number of reasons that the Caribbean might be desirable travel destination—the sun, the beaches, the crystal-blue oceans that conjurede-stressing selenite crystal vibes—spending your day with toes in the sandwhile hanging out with cuddly pups probably hasn’t even crossed your mind (though maybe your dreams). Sure, it might seem like a logistical nightmare (Do I adopt a dog for this trip? Can I bring my pet along? What’s the airline’s policy on canine companions?), it’s actually a very realistic bucket-list goal on one island.

The tropical rescue allows you to check out a pup and bring it with you to the beach for some fun in the sun that’ll undoubtedly provide you both with some much needed TLC.

Potcake Place is a sanctuary in Turks and Caicos for Potcake dogs, a mixed breed that’s native to some Caribbean islands, according to Bustle. The tropical rescue allows you to check out a pup and bring it with you to the beach for some fun in the sun that’ll undoubtedly provide you both with some much needed TLC. Plus, if you fall in love with your canine companion while watching surfers hang ten, you can adopt for literally $0, and potentiallyincrease your lifespan in the process. (Still, you might consider making a donation to the shelter so it can continue to do such important work).

Here’s to hoping more places instate a check-out-a-dog-for-a-day policy to encourage the adoption of strays. I, for one, would build a whole travel bucket list around visiting all of ’em.
