Fatal Collision update

Approximately 6:30am Thursday 16th October 2014, RCIPS received a report of a serious motor vehicle collision along the Shamrock Road, west of the Savannah Primary School.

The collision involved a motor cycle, ridden by 23 year old Seion Brown of Windsor Park, George Town, the rider travelling, west on Shamrock Road lost control of the motor cycle in a left hand bend in the vicinity of Buddy’s Way, fell and collided with a sign post. He was later pronounced dead at the George Town Hospital.

The circumstances surrounding this fatality is being investigated by officers from the Bodden Town Police Station and anyone who may have witnessed the collision are asked to contact constable Eunel Gilzean of the BTPS at 947 2220.

Police have now reopened the Shamrock Rd., Savannah where the accident occurred this morning. There may still be some delays as traffic clears. A further update will follow.

Police and other Emergency Services are on the scene of a serious MVA in Savannah.

Motorists are asked to travel through East-West Arterial until the scene has been released.
