Promotion at leading law firm

Leading international law firm, Mourant Ozannes, has announced the promotion of Simon Dickson to the partnership with effect from 1 February next year.

Simon is based in the Cayman Islands office of Mourant Ozannes, which he joined in 2002. During this time he has been selected by Chambers and Partners, one of the leading legal directories, as ‘an associate to watch.’

Simon’s litigation practice includes fraud and asset tracing, insolvency and restructuring, financial services and regulatory work. Simon has also made a name for himself in fund litigation where he has worked on some of the largest cases to come before the Cayman Islands courts including Peloton, Sphinx, Belmont and Harley.

Prior to joining the firm, Simon worked for the Serious Fraud Office in London following two years at a London Barristers’ Chambers.

Simon obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Durham University in 1996 and received a commendation for his College of Law Common Professional Examination in 1997. He completed his professional qualifications at the Inns of Court School of Law in London and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1998 as a Harmsworth Scholar. He was called to the Bar of the Cayman Islands in 2002.
