Permission required for use of Cayman Islands Coat of Arms & Flag

The Office of the Deputy Governor would like to remind the public that permission must be obtained for the reproduction of the Cayman Islands Coat of Arms and Flag.

Pursuant to section 2(1) of the Coat of Arms, Flag and National Song Law (2005 Revision), permission must be granted by the Governor-in-Cabinet for the reproduction of the Cayman Islands Coat of Arms or Flag. Unauthorized use will result in a fine of $500 for first offence and in respect of a second offence, a fine of $5,000.

If a company or individual is granted permission to reproduce the Coat of Arms or Flag for promotional purposes, the annual fee is $250. If a company or individual is granted permission to reproduce the Coat of Arms or Flag for profit, the annual fee is $500.

Cayman Islands FlagRequests should be addressed in writing to the Office of the Deputy Governor, 5th Floor, Government Administration Building, Elgin Avenue, PO Box 103, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, KY1-9000. The request should indicate the purposes of the reproduction and a sample of the product for intended use should be included with the request.
