New resort management deal in Curaçao to undertake $15 million renovation

Dreams Curaçao Resort

WILLEMSTAD, Curacao — AMResorts an Apple Leisure Group (ALG) related brand, recently announced a new resort management deal bringing the lauded Dreams Resorts and Spas brand to the island nation of Curaçao. The property, owned by Lionstone Development and formerly known as Hilton Curaçao, will undergo a $15-million-renovation before re-opening in December 2019 as Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa and Casino.

“We’re very pleased with the Caribbean’s current momentum and expect this trend to continue for the foreseeable future. Considering ALG moves two out of every 10 US travelers headed to the Caribbean and the fact that the Curaçao Tourism Board has succeeded in attracting more American visitors than ever before, now is the time for owners to invest in the island’s all-inclusive market,” said Javier Coll, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of ALG. “We’re looking forward to introducing our very first Dreams property in the country and are confident our firm’s proven track record and unmatched expertise will continue fueling our growth throughout the region.”

Located in Piscadera Bay, Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa and Casino will be comprised of 197 rooms and suites, each with a private balcony and other luxury touches meant to resonate with couples and families. Upon reopening, the resort will feature access to two secluded white sand beaches, two culinary concepts, a luxury spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, a corner shop, café and more.

Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa and Casino will offer the brand’s signature Unlimited-Luxury® vacation concept, which covers all on-site dining and service options, including gourmet àla carte dining offerings, 24-hour room and concierge services, an unlimited premium beverage program, daily refreshed minibar, daytime activities and live nighttime entertainment all without wristbands.

This latest deal brings AMResorts’ resort portfolio to 64 resorts, plus an additional 10,000 rooms currently under development. The brand is a recognized leader in the all-inclusive luxury sector, possessing industry-leading global sales, marketing and brand management platform and a portfolio of over 21,000 rooms under several award-winning brands in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and Spain.
