New Governor tours offices

DG 75 swebA familiarisation tour of government offices was on the agenda for Governor Helen Kilpatrick’s first day of work on Monday, 9 September 2013.

Accompanied by Deputy Governor, the Hon. Franz Manderson, she visited many Ministries, Portfolios, and some departments in the Government Administration Building.

Speaking with Minsters, Chief Officers and line staff, she touched on topics ranging from aerial mapping and planning processes, to electronic filing systems and education scholarships.

This meet-and-greet will be followed by her first Cabinet meeting tomorrow (Tuesday, 10 September 2013).  She will continue her visits to government offices in the main building, and at other locations, in the future.

The two officials ended today’s tour with lunch in the staff cafeteria.
